Our story

Where we began

Cahaya Solutions started from a simple observation. Many small business owners in Malaysia — the coffee shop, the tailor, the small clinic, the independent trader — were hearing a great deal about artificial intelligence, but very little of it was shaped for them. The conversation was full of scale and speed and disruption. It left most owners feeling that AI was something for another kind of business.

We thought that was a shame. Some of the people who could benefit most from a little well-placed help were the ones being left out of the conversation.

So we started Cahaya Solutions with a different kind of offer. Not transformation. Not disruption. Just a careful look at where a business carries unnecessary weight — and a practical, proportionate response. We take the name from the Malay word for light, which is what we hope to bring to a sometimes confusing topic.
